It would be cool if we had seasons, time of day (would necessarily have to be real time), random weather and events happening along a route. This would make reriding a route so much more interesting. Some events could really be very rare, others more common
I think sadly this is a core game engine function that may or may not be able to be done.
That said, the Coastline route does a good job of feeling more damp and soggy than everywhere else with the effects.
Being able to see rain come in and sweep across a map though would be a very unique experience for sure; and for those free-roaming… the ability to avoid it even, could become a fun challenge!
Meanwhile… putting in my umpteenth request for France to get a day/night cycle.
And another request for occasional snow!
Having weather/seasons/ and time of day might be hard but random easter eggs popping up wouldn’t be
Today I a tour of Watopia route for the umpteenth time and it actually rained. So weather is already possible, so seasons must be too and events triggered by certain conditions (time of day/ season/weather/ other factors)
It is possible; I assumed you meant one side of the map is raining / weathered, while the other side is sunny for example.
What’s also possible is Neokyo can have sunlight… If you spectate someone in Urukazi or Umezi, and then to someone in Neokyo you’ll see the city in daylight. Pretty neat “bug.”
It actually already seems to be a feature, yesterday I rode up AdZ twice and saw marmots (around virage 18) in exactly the same spot on both ascents though but today none. Today it seemed to dawn during my descent. It looked beautiful
