Samsung S22+ Connected to a Matrix ICR50-IX display problem

First I would like to say Hello to the Zwift. I’m new here. Not a paid member yet.

Just got a Matrix ICR50 with the IX display spin bike I guess you call it? Ride mountain bikes only for now. I hope to post this correctly? I will try to make this short?

I was using my Samsung S22+ to display Zwift on the IX display for a few weeks in 05/25. It worked great. Then Samsung upgraded the phone to UI7. (Unknown to me the screen software interface changed explain later) I plugged in the phone for a ride after the update. On the IX display everything was squashed down. Tried all of the aspic ratios on the IX display. Uninstalled Zwift app. Reinstalled it. Reboot phone. New HDMI-USB cable. Emailed Matrix support about the problem. They were great about it. They had me try a few things nothing worked. They sent me a new display no charge it’s still under warranty. Tried the new display same problem. Also tried my girl friends Samsung I think a 24? Same problem. I Couldn’t believe it. Few days later thought to try my Samsung S7 tablet. Duh? It works great. So I have to use my tablet to display Zwift on the Matrix ICR50’s IX display now. Just letting people know about it. I know there is just a few people with my type of setup on here. Hope this helps? Thanks.

I wonder if it’s related to this discussion

Hi Paul Thanks. I don’t know? That’s a few years ago. A lot of updates/phones since. I have a different phone but I will try the hack/fix. Why do we need to to this anyway? I’ll post later if this works.

I wish I knew, I am not any kind of Android expert, but that workaround has been good for many people so maybe worth a try.

Hi Paul
Yes that fixed it. On my phone a S22+ with UI7 now. I went to: settings>Advanced features>Labs>Multi window for all apps turned it on. Like the other post said. I didn’t have to restart my phone. I have the full screen again. A Big Thanks to (Jani) for the fix! You guys are great.
