I looked at your server logs and can confirm your AppleTV is on the latest version 1.85.0. This issue hasn’t been flagged up since the 1.79 release seemed to solve it for others, which leads me to wonder if something got corrupted on your specific ATV.
Would you start with the simplest step (uninstalling and re-installing) and let us know if that solves both of the issues you’re reporting?
Thanks. Will do and let you know. Might take a while as it does that less frequently since 1.79. That’s about the same time I start noticing the steering issue. I’ll do as you say and get back. Thanks.

The steering issue is almost certainly not related to the problem you’re having with pacers disappearing. It’s the expected/intended behavior currently.
Another thing that can cause the pacer to disappear is if you are riding with the pacer when the backend service operating it is restarted.
