If I am riding in an unplanned format & find myself in a blob that is keeping a pace I like – is there a way to tell if the blob is going to turn off on a different route than mine so I can stay with them ? thanks for the help

Welcome to the forum.
While riding when you get close to an intersection you will see a yellow/orange arrow just below the seat of the rider in front of you indicating their direction.
You can also type a message telling the rider you like to join them where are thy going, some is really nice and will call out turns and start chatting.
