Results in ZwiftPower do not correspond with actual results from event

I noticed the race results reflected in ZwiftPower do not coincide with the actual results of the race. I run an unofficial zwift racing series and occasionally pull results from ZwiftPower since it’s easier to navigate than Zwift, but after participating in this weekend’s race and then checking the results on ZwiftPower afterwards, I noted the discrepancy.

The finishing order is in fact wrong (as are the times of the athletes that make up that order)

Raising this issue here in case there’s a deeper problem at work.

It won’t let me post a link, but the race was on 2/23/26 at 6:45 AM MST titled The Zwifty Fifty with DZR.

Zwiftpower is a bun fight.

The results are what they are. All riders need to register for Zwift power or else they are a no show.

After that I believe you can set whether or not a heartrate monitor must be worn.

I wouldn’t know how to set-up a race or even how to link the race itself to Zwiftpower, but I do know the results are good to go.

Zwift power started back in 2016, pretty sure its okay by now. My understanding is its pretty much unmanned and gets no support, it just runs on the cloud somewhere and makes a nice logbook of all your results in one place.

Trophies get awarded with no 3rd party interference, the result is what it is.

The Zwifty Fifty usually has segment time bonuses. I have won or podiumed by understanding the race rules and then sitting up at the finish because the game was over and I didn’t need to sprint.

You can always check the bonuses on the DZR website:

I think @Christian_Kjaer_DZR is the organizer and could help you understand what happened. It is critical that you know where the bonus seconds are in order to place well.

@Paul_Southworth is bang on. That’s what’s going on. I give bonus seconds on select sprints. Implemented with a negative “Use points setting to increase race time”.

As I understand ZP is being phased out, so hopefully something better will take over. ZRS do not use ZP for scores, so ZP is kind of phased out already for the official Zwift score (vELO still use ZP results as far as I know). Definitely would be nice if Zwift allowed race organizers to setup races directly on Zwift allowing for non scratch races to be dealt with correctly in official results and in the ZRS scoring

Got it!

Thanks for the explanation guys. That makes a ton of sense. I had no idea there were points races outside of ZRL.

I too wish Zwift was more cooperate with race organizers. They seem perpetually understaffed.

Just looking at the number of current riders on Zwift and the number of riders in races it seems Zwift racers are a small minority of Zwifters so it probably makes sense from a business perspective to focus on the “non-racers”?

You would be correct, Zwift would focus on anything that would increase the number of paid subscriber, however Its not just the total number of people that race its also PLUS the number of people that choose NOT to bother to race because of the many problems associated with fair racing.
