In looking at the stage racing, how are riders with racing scores well over 300 leading a D category with a 270 cap?
They got a ZRS increase above pen D during a pen D race?
Being a non vELO system, you beat people you should on paper and get a points reward for it, that might put you in a higher pen.
what race? got a link to it on zwiftpower?
Pen D ZRS limit is 270 for range 1.
In range 2 races, pen D limit is 330.
All get classified under one pen D.
Mark B is currently 332 in “Fresh outta '25” series. Juan D is currently 341. Both easily fixed by sandbagging a race or two to get under 330 for next week’s stage.
Winner’s second ever race
Thank you, I was not aware that range 1 and 2 are all classified in D series.
As far as I’m aware, only Tiny Races and Crit Club crits are using the custom 30-day MAX ZRS score.
I fell foul to it recently, excluding me from pen E Tiny Races by a marginal 2 points, but last night I got a surprise seed score boost in a non-ZRS TT Club event that took me to 252 (another 20 points).
On the one hand, it’s great that it prevents quick ZRS manipulation within a few races to get back in a weaker pen, if your 85% seed score allows a pen drop.
But on the other hand, I’ve seen a number of pen E Tiny Races riders exceed 230 and be banned from pen E for at least 30 days. With those riders gone, some new riders become favourites to finish in the approx top 10% and get decent ZRS boosts from each race of the quartet… It won’t be long until they end up over 230 and get excluded!
Some promoted to pen D will end up back in pen E after 30 days of having a ZRS under 230, but isn’t this generally going to make pen E weaker over time and push riders into stronger pens through the whole range?
