Race score limits

How can some one enter a race being 150 race score points above the upper limit?

They can’t, but that can appear to be the case due to how ZRS decay is handled and displayed in results. If you search the forum for “decay” you will find one or two comments about it.

Decay, the latest ill-thought out release to the Zwift public, of an awful ZRS system that does everything but put reasonably equal ability riders together in the same pen.

It’s the main reason I cancelled my sub renewal. I’m not paying a penny until at least this decay is scrapped, step to it coders!

@Ryy Another one for you to answer ignore

Yeah, they answered two questions and even said let the comments come, but it has been awefully quiet ever since. We didnt even get an answer when asked when the next phase will be they talked about …

But that seems the way Zwift does it every time. Start something enthousiastic, to drop and ignore everything a week later.

Yep its a total nightmare at the moment, someone with a racing score of 844 who is an A Cat rider in the same start pen as those with a what 350 upper limit in the D Cat ? This should be totally impossible no matter how you look at it. Don’t even know how they are getting past the category enforcement there must be some kind of a Hack. Zwift has totally stuffed the racing.

There are certainly a few failings with ZRS but these issues are not helped by your misleading reporting of events.

This is the second post you have made where you imply a ZRS 844 rider is racing against D cat riders. Looking at your ZwiftPower activity it seems clear you are referring to your ride on 10/21/2025 where the ‘winner’ of the ride, in ‘1st’ place with their little ‘gold cup’ did have and still does have a ZRS score of 844.

You are also correct that they were in the same start pen as riders with ZRS scores around 350. Elsewhere you report that they were racing in a Cat D pen and this is totalling inaccurate. They were riding in a group (or pen) B ride in the Unlocked series.

You are writing about a group RIDE as if it was a race. You have written elsewhere that you like to race these group rides so might be finding it confusing as to what are actually rides and what are races.

In ZwiftPower you can search your profile results by Race or Ride.
