QuadHD and 2560x1440 resolution support

With the introduction of 4K do you plan on support QuadHD (or is his just Ultra).

My monitor resolution is 2560x1440 and I tend to run at 60fps with a GTX 960 Card set at Ultra. But I agther the resolution is 1920x1080. Are you planning on supporting 2K?

Running at 4K kills the FPS such that it drops to about 10FPS.

I have modified the first line of the ultra.txt config file to have the monitor resolution. FPS now seems pretty much locked in at 60FPS (which matches my monitor); and game looks awesome.

I gather after every update I will need to update this file again. Would be better if you just had a 2K option.

Hi Carl,

There should be an option under resolution for 1440, which is 2K (as you already know). It’s fairly recent (past month or so) so you may have missed it.

4K is coming as well, but unless you have Jon’s actual set up (980TI), it will be fairly unusable

For the record, I am using a GTX 970 and 2K looks pretty great!

I only see Ultra which has a resolution of 1920x1280, and 4K. Neither of these seem to match my resolution of 2560x1440.

As an aside I have a Gtx 960.

To further clarify are you saying that Ultra(1440p) matches my screen resolution of 2560x1440, even though the ultra.txt configuration file has the resolution defined as:
res 1920x1080(0x)

Which is actually only 1080p.

Looking in the configuration you have both high and medium defined as:
res 1280x720(0x)

Where high is defined as 1080p, but this being 720p.
Seems like you have Medium(720p) and High(1080p) defined as 720p and Ultra(1440) defined as 1080p.

That doesn’t sound right, Carl. I’m wondering if the automatic settings aren’t allowing the 960 to go to 1440. I’ll ask out lead developer about this.
