What are the known differences of using an iPad vs PC?
I read on Zwift Insider a reference to being able to play different music at start up when using a PC. But didn’t see any such option while using iPad. That made me curious; what features and functions are available while using PC that are not available while using iPad?
Does anyone know?

There are many but here are a few…
- PC can pair ANT+ devices by adding a dongle, iPad cannot
- PC offers various different levels of graphics quality, screen resolution, and frame rates depending on the PC hardware specs. iPad is currently capped at 30FPS and the most basic graphics profile.
- PC gets Zwift updates more quickly as there is no app store review process
- iPad allows you to swipe away some HUD elements, PC does not
- Some iPad models don’t have the distance of riders behind you shown on the HUD
When running Zwift on a PC, it’s important to understand what kind of PC hardware will produce the best visual experience. With an iPad it makes little difference. If you are contemplating a PC purchase for running Zwift you need to do more research or come here and ask questions.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Not buying a new pc, but may try with an existing Lenovo with Intel i7 and see what happens.
