both aps up to date:
when taking photo during the ride on Windows PC - it somehow saves the menu view with world and ride selection
when taking a photo via Android Companion App - it is just a black screen 
No reliable solution. This has been going on, in one form or another, for years now.
I take Zwift in that regard as a game of chance: occasionally, it won’t work.
(maybe it is all part of “Zwift gamification”? who knows…)
