11-29 race (5177906), E category. 3 racers at 9:14 PM start; one dropped out mid-race. That left BP (3998085) and me (636022). Near the end of the race I was ahead of BP by about 1:30. However, at about 1 mile from the finish BP’s avatar was 0 secs from me. At 0.3 miles from the finish I sped up and dropped him. I finished in 40:24 (per Zwiftpower). BP ultimately finished 2:10 behind me. Thus, with such a large finishing gap BP could not actually have been near me at the finish.
In the D category the slowest racer finished at 38:13 so the phantom racer couldn’t have been from the D category. In any case, however, the phantom racer had the same outfit as BP.
When I tried to look at BP’s race results on the Zwift app, it said, “Activity details could not be loaded“. I don’t know if this is significant.
I was clear-headed after the race so I don’t think I hallucinated the phantom racer.
