No workout screen on Companion App

For the last week or so I’ve had no workout screen on the companion app. Using MacBook Air and IPhone 13. Workout icon no longer on companion app. Doesn’t register doing a workout. Map sometimes loads. Tried turning phone off and on several times. Deleted app and downloaded again.
Anyone else having this now and any way to solve it?

The problem you’re describing is almost always because the phone running the Companion app and the computer running the main Zwift app aren’t both on the same WiFi network. They “see” each other over WiFi.

  • If your phone is cutting over to cell data, it disconnects from WiFi. This might be resolved by rebooting your WiFi router and cable modem. While you’re at it - reboot your smartphone and your MacBook Air too.
  • If either or both of your devices is connecting to a VPN - that also will prevent the two devices from sharing the WiFi network.

Some other known issues that you might eliminate as the source of your problem are here. Please check that none of those apply to you.

Thanks. Both are definitely on the same wifi network . All was working fine up until about a week ago. Suddenly had to reboot phone each time to get the companion app to do anything.
Will try other options tomorrow and see if there’s any improvement.

hi there, I’m still having problems with companion app. I’ve tried using a laptop instead of MacBook Air and that way seems to be fine , everything connects and works as I would expect it to. However when using either MacBook Air or iPad at present the companion app shows no hardware found. I’ve checked what is shown on that screen. Scanning for devices doesn’t come up with anything - no devices, in spite of sitting on the floor with my iPhone (that’s what the companion app is on) directly next to my Kickr etc. I’ve checked everything is on the same network, no VPN, turned everything off, rebooted, deleted the companion app and reloaded it, logged off and on again.
I have the latest versions, up to date IOS/MacOS ???
I don’t know what else to try so any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.
Help!!

I forgot to add that bluetooth is turned on but no Zwift hardware is detected.
