No Workout Icon in Zwifters Nearby List [March 2023]

I noted yesterday (though it may have been an issue for a while) that the ‘workout’ icon in the Zwifters Nearby list no longer appears on, at least, the iPadOS version of Zwift.

On further review, this issue seems to only be in Watopia. My guess at this point is that the workout icons were turned off so that people wouldn’t think they were in a ‘workout’ during ToW events.

@James_Zwift can you confirm/deny this? (AFTER you get back from vacation.)

I noticed this recently as well. Good guess about the cause

Anyone know why the workout icon is missing on the rider list in normal rides, yet if you do a workout you can see who is doing a workout on the rider list, like it use to be displayed whether you were on a workout or not?

Only a small thing but just wondering it Zwift removed it in non workouts or if it’s a bug?

It’s been this way since the previous Tour of Watopia (hopefully I’m not confusing it with some other series - it was earlier this year). I don’t think they’ve said whether it was an accident or not.

That long Paul, I was off Zwift since March for the summer, came back a few months ago and noticed it was missing, thought it might be a bug that would be fixed, seems odd to have it on workouts and not on normal rides if not a bug.

Did a ride today on Coast Crusher. Noticed riders that I passed with the workout screen on their bike did not have the corresponding icon in the riders list. This is on windows 10 home edition. Zwift version 1.73.0.

That was removed more than a year ago. I think it was during a previous Tour of Watopia that they got rid of it. They never explained the change.

I’ve barely been on zwift for a year and I remember it being there.

Missing for me for ages :man_shrugging:

Hello all,

Just confirming that we are aware of an issue where the bar graph icon in the Zwifters Nearby list that indicates who is in a workout is currently only visible when you are in a workout yourself.

This issue has been around for a bit, but it looks like it did not have a known issue thread or explanation. I’ve merged a few of the posts together and bumped this for more attention at HQ.
