Today I did a relaxed Z1 ride on Neon Flats (Makuri) with Miguel for some badge hunting ![]()
I joined 4,5 km before the start/finish line. After I crossed the start/finish line the first time I did a full lap of Neon Flats and stopped during the second lap after about 2 km.
Because I rode a full lap of Neon Flats (including the short lead-in), I expected to receive the route badge, but that didn’t happen. Is this a known issue, or do Robo Pacers rides no longer give route badges?
Version 1.106.0.
Thanks for the tip, at least it was on your screen, but I didn’t see that.
There is a difference, though: I didn’t use teleporting; I simply selected the ride from the main menu.
You should contact support because you should have received the badge, as per Missing badge after following robopacer - #19 by Steve_Hammatt
Thanks. It’s not even about the badge itself, but if this is a broader issue, it’s good to report it and get it fixed!
I don’t disagree, but Zwift hasn’t acknowledged that this is an issue yet, nor explained why it sometimes happens (is it route specific?) despite being reported very often. They’ve only seemed to say that it shouldn’t happen and left it at that.
Haha, customer service is outsourced to an AI guy named Ride On.
Thank you for riding with Miguel on Neon Flats and for your question about route badges with RoboPacers!
You can earn route badges when riding with a RoboPacer, as long as you join the RoboPacer group from the Home Screen and complete the full route including the lead-in without manually selecting turns. It’s important to save your ride after finishing to ensure the badge is recorded.
Since you joined 4.5 km before the start/finish line and completed a full lap including the lead-in, you should have qualified for the badge. However, if you stopped early during the second lap or did not save the ride properly, the badge might not have been awarded.
Please try again with these points in mind, and if the badge still doesn’t appear after a fully completed and saved ride, let me know and I can help further.

When riding with a robo pacer, it isn’t always possible to complete the lead in. So if it works the way it’s explained in that response, it may be impossible to get the badge with a pacer on some routes. I am unsure if it actually works that way though. ![]()
So reply says you should have got badge, but won’t give you the badge and tells you to try again?
Really? ![]()
I rode Loop de Loop yesterday with Maria and wasn’t credited with the badge. I joined 2.4 km before the downtown Start/Finish banner and rode a couple Kms after the Start/Finish banner hoping for the banner appearance. Interestingly I saw the 246 XP added after crossing the Start/Finish but they weren’t there in my days total. Just to put a new twist into this situation.
it seems pretty random, some routes the pace bots are on give you the badge and others don’t, as has been said, no one from Zwift has acknowledged this is an issue and clearly the support documents say it isn’t an issue… nevertheless it gets reported frequently here on the forums ![]()
In my opinion, Zwift doesn’t acknowledge the bug because they’re convinced the problem lies elsewhere. They think the problem is between the trainer and the screen, sitting on the saddle.
Like:
“You missed the lead-in.”
“You started too late.”
“You stopped too early.”
“You went off-track.”
“You didn’t save properly.”
But I’ve been using Zwift for years, so I know what I’m doing…
My theory, which is probably wrong, is that a RP ride is a free ride, and if you ride a route with an RP that is a subset of any other route, the game can’t tell which route you’re riding in order to earn a badge.
Rode with Maria pacer, started 1.8 before the start marker. Finished a little after that marker… it’s saved, but I’ve confirmed on the save - no route badge
