No HRM disqualification?

How come riders with no HRM are not being disqualified from races??

Did a race yesterday and one rider easily won (made me ride harder) But after in ZPower no HRM at all plus crazy power outputs (this is in cat D) but not disqualified?

It’s up to each organiser to choose if they want to DQ for no HRM.

There are also cases where the HRM is paired but the rider opted out of sharing it. You’re not entitled to see it. Exactly what happened depends on the details of event you’re talking about.

As Paul said the winner has opted to keep some of their data private.

If you see this in Zwift Power it signifies that a HR monitor was worn.

Weight, age, HR and height are private.

If you go into the Unfiltered results tab you will see HR against all those who were disqualified for not wearing a HR monitor.

Edit: both the first two racers had ‘crazy’ power w/kg numbers because both are very lightweight riders and their zFTPs fall under the cat limit of 150w.

This is a stupid option and it should be removed…you register to be transparent not private

:100: They should just say “Click here to opt in to racing. Your data will be shared.” No opt in, no race.

Zwift should not allow riders without one in a race where a HRM is mandatory to begin with.

To date, Zwift has not recognized any difference between racers, free riders and group riders or any other user.

There are simple changes that each group has reasonably asked for and Zwift fails to respond.

Numerous examples.
Pen enforcement led to CE and now ZRS.
Racing score including non racing activities.
Put Robo pacers on a TT bike.
Prevent unreasonable wt changes.
Allowing racer to hide parameters that affect racing.
Pack dynamics that favor group riders allowing them to ride in a group that is really too fast for them (perhaps because the pacer is being pulled by a rider out front).

Just create some separation between users and things may improve.

That is a configuration option for events, and I do use it in one of my races, however the down side is that if your HRM disconnects during the race you are ejected from the event. Personally I would remove a ZwiftPower DQ from a rider who has partial data, but when you use hardware enforcement that isn’t an option because they get DNF instead.

I am all for it. If it is mandatory it should be enforced and not let them finish the game and while doing that might ruin it for others and afterwards take action.

If someone is missing one minute of HR data from a race, ask yourself what that extra minute of data would do to help you understand the validity of their performance. That’s what it would take to be ejected.

I check previous rider data and if his result aligns to race result then I remove the DQ, I have in the past contacted the rider for an explanation.
Every organiser has the options to do this.
