No Events with Macaron Route

Any updates on Macaron? It remains the one badge I need as well.

Check on zwifthacks - ?route==Macaron
2 new events.

Herd’s Stampede TT Challenge is on Macaron for this whole month.

Compares your best time to everyone else’s for all events through the month.

Nice - that’s a badge I don’t have. Normally I’d just create my own private event and be done with it. But not this route.

How do you do that?

Is that something anyone can do?

I’m aware of the My List - Event only routes are usually not able to be added to My List.

You need to create your own club in Zwift. Then you create a club event, share the event to your computer and edit it via the Zwift web application to have the special event only route you want.

It’s a bit fussy to do and there are time limitations for editing the event.

But this Macaron route cannot be chosen that way either.

I say it’s not a legit badge because I have all the route badges but this one. I don’t even count it because there’s no way to earn it. It’s ridiculous. I don’t even know why it’s even listed with the regular badges

Like all event-only route badges, you just need to find an event on it. This route is point-to-point and very short, which limits its utility in events so it’s not super common, but here’s one available now.

The same issue for the running badge ā€œHandful of Gravelā€.
It rarely, if ever, comes up in events.

At 12:30am my time, I’ll pass.

The route should just be made normal so it can be completed by anyone at any time.

Yes. I was so excited. Finally got this badge in June. The Ascenders offered it :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

ALL routes that have a badge should be made normal so they can be completed by anyone at any time.

I understand that some new routes would be event only for the duration of the event they were created for, but after that, open the routes up to ride any time.

What’s odd is that the Zwift Inisider page for Handful of Gravel mentions the start location for ā€œfree ridersā€ - both the ride and run versions of Handful of Gravel are still locked in as Event Only.

My thought was take event-only routes and add a couple to every release so there’s a steady trickle of new opportunities. No-badge routes should have a badge slapped on when that happens so they can pick a suitable variety set for each release based on terrain and location.

Not sure what to tell you @Dan_Kothlow, I just kept searching on Zwift hacks, finally found the route
(handful of gravel run), at a time that worked for me.
Good Luck :crossed_fingers:

Chris, we have a pile of different times for Stampede Challenge and had this past weekend for HSRL I don’t know why you only saw one time. Follow the link below and you should see the next 6 opportunities, and there will be more next Monday and Wednesday.

Not arguing with that, but when I looked through the link above that was posted by someone else (at the time I did) I only saw one which wasn’t at an ideal time, and being races then I’d be joining and crawling along at slow speed just to get a route badge.

Is there really a need to keep these routes locked away as event only? Please make them available to ride normally after the original promotions they were intended for have gone. I feel that’s reasonable?

I’m just a guy that helps organize some community races, not a Zwift employee. We had to do a request to get this route scheduled for this series this month.

No reason that you couldn’t enter, start zwift and start riding anytime before the race time, then leave Zwift running over the race start time and finish the route at your convenience. Going slow definitely doesn’t disturb any other racers, especially as these are Time Trial module races, everyone starts at different times anyway.
