Not sure why but the ‘swipe in from the right’ transition effect is now juddering in at about 15fps on my system, even though the the game is running at 95fps (vsync capped with adaptive sync). As is the zooming out of the minimap. Rather less slick than I assume it’s intended to be. Scrolling through the route list is as smooth as normal.
When do we get to do feature requests for things that the new home screen removed.
Noticed that under the events, the label displays group workout or club(the club term really means nothing to me) and some of the races were also labelled club(which I presume means that the event belongs to a club), which doesn’t seem to be the best term to use for these events.
@shooj Could we have an ETA for when the “join” another rider/friend on the course will be restored for folks with the new start screen? This seems like a big feature to simply omit altogether. Or is deprecating this functionality intentional? Thank you.
This isn’t even sliding on any more, it’s down to 3-4 distinct frames.
I’ve boycotted Zwift until they restore that feature. Nothing relating to being badly injured and not allowed to ride of course.
Hopefully they will restore the ride with feature.
@Todd_Tannenbaum2006
I’ve passed along your comments to the UX team and let them know that “Ride with…” is the most requested thing over the past week. They’re aware and working on it, but we don’t have an ETA yet.
cool, how to find the ‘ride with’ on the new Home screen is exactly what I was coming to find out
So was it removed as a design choice or is it missing as a bug?
Where is this feature on the new home screen? Australian pro cyclists are having a party and I can’t join them. Please add this quick smart.
Clearly removed by choice. The UX team should be sent to the basement and those who green lit the terrible work they’ve done.
Should be refunded for 2+ months. I shouldn’t have to pay to beta test. Paying customers getting screwed here and they don’t give a damn.
My wife and I use the same set up(windows) to zwift. She has the new UI but I don’t…can I switch somehow?

Hi @Dan_Frankel
No you have to wait for Zwift to enable it for you.
I’m going to have to agree with this one: I find the new route-selection UI much less user friendly than the old one.
On top of that, I have an older MacBook that I run Zwift on. It’s just fine for the game, but this new home page UI is absolutely HORRIBLE. Scrolling is mega-laggy for some reason, which makes exploring the available routes frustrating. (I’m talking multiple seconds before the menu follows my scroll movement.)
I’ve tested Zwift on my newer MacBook Pro, only 3 years old, and scolling on the new home page lags on this machine too. It’s not as bad, but something about the home page UI is just wrong on MacOS. It shouldn’t be this painful to use.
Most of the time, I want to “Just Ride” which requires scrolling just to get into screen and also suffers bad lag. I don’t explore ride options as much as I used to because it’s so slow and annoying. Rouvy has its own UI pain points, but I’ve been gravitating towards it if I just want to ride-and-go after Zwift’s latest home page changes.
Looks like a slideshow now. Weirdly the dot going around the route is smooth, even though the zooming out on the minimap is really jerky. Might try reinstalling the game.
Has anyone who got the new Home Screen been seeing the old home screen reappearing sporadically?
It’s been a few weeks since I got the new home screen. This evening, I have been doing some testing. During that, I launched Zwift on my PC about eight times, ending and exiting after a short ride each time, before closing the launcher in the system tray each time.
On three of those occasions, after pressing OK on the pairing screen, I found myself looking at the old home screen! The first time, I selected a route and Zwift crashed completely (first time ever on this PC).
On the second occasion – maybe the fourth launch of the game this evening – after selecting a route, I was then shown the new Home screen and had to select a route again, there, before being able to ride.
The third time (the seventh launch of the game, IIRC), it worked like it used to in the past, with no sign of the new UI at all.
The final launch of the game saw me back in the new home screen.
Very odd.
Had the old Home screen come up once, exited and restarted Zwift as was worried it would crash mid ride or not save.
Two frames: Streamja - Simple video sharing
Game is running at 95fps, on a 95Hz display.
Is there a (hidden) trigger in a local settings file that we can alter to “choose” between the old and new home screen?
