New Ways to Plan Your Week in Zwift Companion

Hi Zwifters,

For those Zwifters who like to plan out their entire week we’ve added more options to Zwift Companion’s Plan feature, giving you a better way to organize your full training schedule - including the days when you won’t be Zwifting.

You can now schedule:

Time off
You now have the ability to schedule a rest day, sick day, or vacation day.

Planning a trip and know you won’t be Zwifting for a few days? Add it to your Plan ahead of time. Feeling sick and want your schedule to reflect it? Add a sick day. Just need some extra recovery? Schedule a rest day in advance or add one in the moment.

If planned time off is the first item on your schedule for the day, it will appear in the Next Up section in Zwift Companion. Planned time off will not appear in the Next Up section in Zwift Game. If you’ve opened the game, we assume you’re looking for something to do, so Next Up will recommend an activity instead.

Outdoor activities
Taking your training outside? Now it can still have a place in your Plan. Schedule an outdoor ride or run for a specific day, or add it to your To Do list for later.

Once you’ve selected cycling or running, set how long you want to go for, then choose the type of session you have planned:

  • Cycling: Outdoor, Recovery Spin, Endurance Ride, Easy Group Ride, Hard Group Ride, Tempo/Sweet Spot, Race, or Time Trial
  • Running: Outdoor, Easy Run, Sprint Intervals, Tempo, Tempo/Sweet Spot, Race Pace, Race, or Time Trial

For Zwift Companion to display and account for your outdoor activities on your activity feed, you’ll need to record them using a connected Garmin, Wahoo, or Hammerhead device. Check out the Tracking Outdoor Activities in Zwift FAQ for more information.
