Introducing Planning in Zwift Companion (Replacing “My List”)

We’re excited to introduce a new way to organize your rides and workouts in Zwift Companion. The “My List” tab is now “Plan”, giving you everything you had before—plus more flexibility and control.

With Plan, you can add activities, including:

  • Cycling & Running Events
  • Cycling Workouts
  • Cycling Routes
  • Robopacer Rides
  • Challenge Tasks (i.e. Route of the week)

The best part about it is that you can now also assign dates to your activities and build out your schedule in advance.

You can add activities directly from the “Plan” tab or from elsewhere in the app. For example, browse Challenge cards like Route of the Week, select, and tap “Add to Plan.” If you have a third-party workout scheduled, it will be automatically added to your plan. At this time, Training Peaks workouts are not available.

No date yet? Add it anyway—it will appear in your To Do List at the bottom of your plan. Need to make a change? Simply drag and drop activities across days. Note: third-party workouts must be adjusted at the source). You can schedule activities up to a year in advance, and swipe to delete items at any time.

Planned activities appear in a weekly list view within the Plan tab, and in the weekly graph at the top of the ZC home screen (shown as dotted outline bars). Your week runs Monday through Sunday.

You can view future weeks at any time, either on the homescreen of Zwift Companion under Fitness Trends or in the Plan tab by clicking the right arrow to the right of your “Status”.
Any existing “My List” items have been moved to the “To Do” section of Plan.

Log in to ride on the day you have something planned and you’ll see your activity waiting for you at the top of the homescreen or in the “For You” row, all ready to go!

Make sure you’re on Zwift Companion version 3.82.0 or newer to see this feature.
Please note meetups and climb portal rides are not available

We’re excited for you to try it - let us know what you think!

After adding a Robopacer, all of them show up as “D” and 0.8w/kg in the card.

After tapping “ADD”, the card shows correctly.

Thanks @Dan_Kothlow
We’re tracking that as a known issue.

needs to be more testing done before things like this are released, but then again i suppose we are the paid Guinea pigs when it comes to testing new features

Is this the same as My List where once you do an activity, it vanishes? Or can we somehow add a frequently used workout and it won’t disappear (eg. race warmup) once ridden? Or, alternatively can we add the same workout multiple times to our “plan”?

Heck yeah. Can’t wait to try this out.

I’ve been having sync issues with “My List” in the Companion app (3.81.0 2154 Android) since the Zwift update (Windows 11) this morning.

Does this mean Route/Climb of the Week will actually be added to the Challenge cards so we can see them in the Companion app (last month you used it as an example but that wasn’t the case)?

The first thing I would do is see if Companion 3.82 is available in the Play store yet, since My List is currently being replaced with the Plan feature. I don’t know if that change is related to the problems you’re seeing but I guess it’s possible. If 3.82 isn’t available for you yet, it should be within a few days.

For me, the latest version in the Google Play Store is 3.81.

When you say “sync issues” what do you mean? I don’t understand the problem you’re reporting.

It’s nice to see what was on the schedule like the race I did yesterday, it would be nice to have an indication it did happen or not - maybe a green check or red X in one of the corners. And then show what happened on other days even if there wasn’t a plan for it (for example I rode with Yumi today, would be nice to see that)

In the Companion app “My List” is not syncing with the Zwift app on the tablet and therefore is not showing up on the “Home” screen.

I was wondering that myself. I couldn’t find a way to add the Route of the Week to the Plan tab.

Routes I had previously added to My List are visible in the game, but when I added a new one and moved it to the top of the list, it did not appear in the For You row, so this seems like a real problem. I am using Companion 3.81 on iOS.

:+1:

I’m using the Android Companion app version 3.81.

I’ll keep monitoring it.

Thank you very much for your tips.

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. It’s been 3 hours since you wrote in. If you check again - your My List items should be synced by now, please confirm?

There will be ~ 1 hour sync delay for those still using Companion v 3.81 (or older) for our servers to migrate everyone’s planned activities to the new weekly Plan feature that appears in Companion v 3.82.

Once the 3.82 phased rollout hits your device (or after you manually update in your app store), the things you saved to My List in Ccompanion should appear immediately on the Home Screen of the game app.

Route of the Week is coming Zoon™ to Weekly Plan.
