New to Zwift - Pairing KICKR Roller and SRAM power meter

Hello,

I am a new user. I have searched for help, but can’t find specific answers relative to my setup.

My indoor trainer is a Wahoo KICKR Roller (no powermeter). I use a hard-wired Eithernet connection.

My powermeter is a SRAM Red AXS Power Meter Spider on a Specialized Aethos S-works.

Wahoo Elemnt Roam paired via Bluetooth:
Wahoo TRACKR HRM
SRAM Powermeter
SRAM Gearing

I would like to use Zwift in Passive Mode, pushing control to the SRAM powermeter.

With the above described configuration, I am unsure as to what device I should pair in Zwift for resistance, cadence, and speed sensor.

Power Source - SRAM powermeter
Heart Rate - Wahoo TRACKR
Resistance - ?
Cadence - ?
Speed Sensor - ?

Please advise.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Jim

The rollers

Power meter… you should have an option for power, not speed sensor.

If the power meter doesnt give cadence then leave it as unpaired

Thanks, Mike!

If you haven’t already read the docs for your trainer, I recommend looking at this page:
Pair a power meter to ROLLR

Thanks for the reply, Paul. I have read all available information from Wahoo, and have successfully paired the ROLLR with the ELEMNT and the Wahoo app. My issue is how to properly integrate Zwift into the mix.

If you pair the power meter to the Rollr, it will allow you to pair the Rollr to Zwift for power and resistance, enable ERG mode and terrain simulation in Zwift. That’s how Wahoo intends it to be used. It’s a weird trainer in that way but Wahoo support are used to walking people through it if necessary.

Thanks again, Paul. That makes sense. is ERG mode only selectable once the ride begins, or is there a more permanent setting?

in Zwift, ERG is only available when doing a structured workout, in “free rides” and events like group rides and races, you will be in SIM mode where the terrain will alter the resistance from the rollers.

:+1: This is also why I suggest pairing the power meter to the trainer, because simulation mode only works when it’s set up that way.

Thank again, Paul!

Thanks for that info, Mike!
