It takes around 1600km to fully upgrade the best frames. One or two days wont make that much difference. Unless people go full bot mode and do 1600 km in two days.
Will we able to see on what level of frame the competition is in a race ?
Did you also complain about other people having a dayâs head start on the lightning socks challenge?
doubtful, you canât see this information now (as in what bike and wheels they have equipped) other than by looking at them on screen⌠so how would you know if they have upgraded it?
I completely disagree. Itâs because the upgraded person has put in the game time to earn their upgrades.
Zwift are doing their best to give people an incentive to keep Zwifting. I like it. You may not. Thatâs OK. We donât need to agree.
Youâre TWO W/kg.hours ahead of me. Itâs not fair!
I think people fail to see that people have worked hard to get this gear, they werenât just unfairly gifted it.
A rookie and master of online Unreal Tournament deathmatch both start the map with the same weapons, with the same performance.
Giving the master a rocket launcher, while giving the rookie a revolver, is not right.
I think it took me about 8 months to get the Tron, and I had to climb much more than I would have chosen to do otherwise.
Itâs going to take me more than a year to get the full 800 W/kg.hours for the aero socks (based on last yearâs ride data).
I think it would be GROSSLY UNFAIR if a NOOB was able to get those items without putting in the work.
Different colors perhaps ?
One of the best new updates. Great new feature! Thank you Zwift!
I really like nerding out before a race, and I think this might be interesting.
This is not only nerding out before a race, but also in what to invest, and even selecting the right investment for the training/ group ride.
Curious if the difference will stay when joining something like FRR when everybody is on the Zwift aero
I like it
NICE!!! Going to put in more work to get to level 40 as fast as I can, but I still love my Canyon Aero since I can customize the color.
@shooj
Are the Halo Bikes all TT frames? From what Iâve read about them, maybe the Specialized and Cannondale are road frames, while the Pinarello is TT.
@Dave_Konicek
The Pinarello Espada is considered a TT bike. The other halo bikes are road bikes.
Put in the effort using simulant+ or another app?
Thatâs what is probably going to happen when people want upgraded bikes to use for racing.
thatâs a whole other discussion. I canât believe itâs not possible to detect bots and prevent their use in this way at least to some extent.
you canât really check for them because that person might just be doing ERG mode workout and controlling trainer via their Garmin.
Aside from folks riding at 450w for hours which some do. People actually go as far as faking the power, cadence and HR data so it looks real.
Itâs very much pertinent to this discussion - with the quite large gaps in performance people will definitely cheat the upgrade process to get advantage in races. Like that guy who cheated to get the Tron faster for racing then got himself banned.
Races maybe should look at fixed bikes to avoid that. Everyone rides identical frames.
I flagged a guy last night doing a steady 494 watts for over 48 miles in London⌠on a TT bike⌠maybe he was already trying to get some upgrades? Or the lightning socks? Oh yeah, and no HR
