Just to clarify, will all M-series processors get the highest resolution too (not just player shadows)?

Specifics other than what I posted above haven’t been shared so we’ll just have to see what happens. It will probably take some time to understand exactly what changed, but resolution and frame rates should be pretty obvious if you upload logs to zwiftalizer.com before and after the release.

Hi all!
Sharing the latest changes our developers were able to implement for M-series iPads in case you haven’t seen them in the 1.95.0 release notes yet:

Please continue to share your feedback here as we use that when discussing further potential improvements with our developers!

Thanks, Alan.

Has anyone tried this update on M3 or M4 iPad? I have it on an M1 iPad Pro, and the rider shadow did improve, but no frame rates. I’m curious how this update is on M3 or M4. I am considering an upgrade and was curious.

@J_C36 this round of changes is all focused on increasing several aspects of overall graphics quality with the latest M4 series iPads building on the improvements made to earlier M-series iPads highlighted in my note. There should be no change to maximum framerates on any iPads right now, but I did mention we are continuing to explore other opportunities to further improve graphics for M-series iPads and will share updates when we can!

Do you know when the new M5 Pro iPad will have a profile assigned in Zwift ?

I have just brought one and was looking forward to seeing Zwift in a higher resolution; instead despite being a powerful machine it runs on the basic profile!! I would have thought it would use the M4 settings as worst !! Very disappointing tbh

Agreed. Zwift should be looking into opening up graphics profiles, screen resolutions, and frame rate caps to the user, like other games and cycling apps already do. The current system of waiting years for half-measure tweaks doesn’t seem to be a good solution for either party.

Thanks for raising this @Andrew_Jenkins_ZHR_C! Closing the loop here and confirming you should have seen visual improvements with the latest Game 1.102 release that rolled out last week

Did anyone try this with a new M5 iPad? I’m curious what changed and if it finally got Ultra mode.
