My Tacx is out of sync with Zwift

My Tacx does not recognise the track I am cycling on straight away. When I cycle on a rough surface the Smart Trainer will change from smooth to rough late and also from rough to smooth. The the Tacx is out of sync with Zwift

Shuji at Zwift HQ. How have you tried troubleshooting Road Feel thus far? You should check first in the Tacx native apps first because checking in Zwift. Here’s the link to Garmin’s support page for the Road Feel feature.

In the Tacx Training app:
Make sure your trainer is using the latest firmware version.
Enable Road feel under Training Settings.

In the Tacx Training Destop app:
Adjust road feel intensity under the Training tab.

In Zwift app:
Settings > Preferences > enable Tacx Neo road feel.

One last thing - I looked at your server logs and on August 22 - 23, you had a Zwift session left running on your iPhone while you were also logged in to your PC. Concurrent logins can also cause weird issues like this.
Especially important for people who use mobile OS’s to Zwift: always save-and-exit (or trash-and-exit) every session. Then force-quit the app. Here’s how. Force closing is not the same as swiping the app into the background.
