Missing my power numbers after race

Hello, im quite new to zwift and today i did my 5th race. I wanted to really get my velo numbers up so I decided to sprint for the first 30 sec. I gave it my all. First after the race only the 5 sec was missning but now the 15 sec is gone as well. What should I do. See the reference pic from just after the race.

I’m not sure what you mean here, where are they gone from? The picture shows them…

I’m looking at your profile on Zwiftracing.app and I see the race from today, it just wasn’t your best power. The race on Oct. 20th and Oct. 27th had higher power numbers.

I’m having an issue with my power data on ZwiftRacing.app after today’s race (Stage 4 Race, Tour of Watopia 2026, 29 October, 17:10 CET, pen D, where I finished 7th). Right after the race my peak values showed a 5s peak above 1000 W and a 15s peak of 11.33 w/kg (about 963 W at 85 kg). First the 5s value disappeared and was replaced by a much lower one (8.51 w/kg), and later the 15s value disappeared as well. Right now my 5s peak is lower than my 15s peak, which can’t be correct. These are real numbers. I did a ride shortly after the race and hit similar, even slightly higher, values. I ride a Wahoo KICKR Bike as my only power source.

This is what it is showing now.

You’re best asking these questions on the zwiftracing.app discord. A lot of knowledge there

I’m not sure what the reason is in this case, but you should know that initial numbers are taken from “live” data with 30 second precision and later a fit file with 1 second precision replaces it, so this can sometimes explain a change in the numbers, but it seems odd that it would affect an interval shorter than 30s.

Anyway, kind of unrelated comment but if you want to drive up your vELO and you think your 5 minute number is below your current potential, then the best way to get an increase is to join a vELO ranked event with a climb of around 5 minutes and smash the hell out of it. Basically ignore the rest of the race and blow up the climb.

thats not what the power curve says right now, perhaps the live data was wrong as Paul suggested?

Exactly, its like it’s gone. First at least the 15 sec was there. But then got removed as well.

The final fit file should be the most reliable measure of what you actually did.

I guess, I have to wait until tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

out of curiosity, what trainer do you have, how do you measure power for Zwift?

Wahoo kickr bike :+1:

part of the issue might be that at the beginning of a race, there is a short amount of time that seems to be lost. You will notice that the timer doesn’t start until you cross an imaginary line somewhere just outside of the race pens… so it could be that you pushed really hard in that few seconds and they just aren’t recorded. :man_shrugging:

Its just weird that it first got recorded and then gone.

As you can see every thing else seems to have been recorded.

here is a good example, in Scotland it takes over 30 seconds before the timer starts… that time then gets added on at the end for WTRL TTT results, but does the power get recorded somewhere in the fit file? I don’t know the answer to that.

That might be it. Had no clue. Thank you.

But then again, its wierd that it first got recorded

interesting that it is on your zwift profile however… strange

The zwift power number 5 and 15 are from my redo after the race. You can see the time.
