After rides I like to head to Strava to view my segment data. This is easily done except for the fact that most of the time when I look at the section on a map I have absolutely no idea where it is in game. This got me thinking that a mini map may help to learn the map’s route faster.
I’ve seen a few people post similar ideas but none with images to explain their meaning. I have linked below my ideas for a simple adjustment to the HUD allowing room for a mini map in the top left corner.
The adjustment brings all of the rider’s current data to the centre of the page as well as compacting the current level progress to allow a more compact fit.
The map could include dots for all player locations.However for my design I have gone for a slightly less cluttered, ‘Friend-Friendly’ look…
The blue dot would be the players own location. Yellow dots would display the players friends (Potentially a yellow dot with a star in the middle for favourites) the green dot is the current green jersey holder and Red is KOM.
