Malicious use of Flyer Reporting? Cone of shame! [September 2023]

It’s probably not related to flagging which typically takes more time. Might be a trainer problem or a bug such as this one. If it happened in an event vs a free ride, share the event ID.

If you care to share a screenshot of your PRs on your Zwift profile (my.zwift.com) you might get more useful feedback.

BTW losing 4kg in 3 weeks and then pulling off a new PR soon after is likely to attract some skepticism but I doubt that triggered the problem you’re talking about.

I don’t religiously update my weight, and as I said in the OP the time was above my PB.

If you feel like sharing the information I suggested such as event IDs, power data from your profile, details about the ride where it happened, etc then you might get useful advice about what happened. If not then you could try contacting Zwift support.

Event I was excluded from results, and I have contacted Zwift and waiting for a response.
Event 3828735
On a positive note It would seem to more likely to be the bug you linked now I know about it.

Hi David, I believe I have suffered from this rare event as well. Happened to me on the below ride as I was passing under a start finish arch.

Might well be the bug mentioned before.

I will flag people, but normally only those folk doing 35 minutes up Alpe du Zwift with 39kg weight or sitting on effortless 7.5w/kg for the entire time. If I flag someone I put a lot of extra information. it’s rare that I do flag people.

I could be missing something… but all of the results appear unremarkable.
Most of B cat winners were all in mid 3’s for 20 min wkg
C cat podiums at 3.0 wkg (20 min).

You do show up on the LIVE tab in ZP… where it looks like you averaged 2.8wkg overall. I don’t see cause for you being kicked.

Yeah it looks like nothing happened, not flagging either, just that bug again. I wonder if it was the same segment that was affected.

This week and last, I’ve had 2 workouts with 5-10 minute z4 efforts, which I’ve done at ~4 wpk. In both instances I’ve been flagged for “missing my calling as a pro,” with lap times disabled.

It’s a very annoying experience that might lead me to fire up a different platform for my intervals. Is this a known bug, or do the metrics for which people can flag others need to be changed?

Did you get flagged as you went under an arch? If so, that’s a known - unfixed and unexplained - bug.

I think it happened under the downtown start/finish banner in Watopia both times, so that’s very interesting! Didn’t have the same issues during the z2 rides I did in Makuri over the same 2 weeks. Any intel about whether the bug is Watopia-only? Thanks so much for the response!

It may (or may not) be a problem with that specific downtown banner. Certainly the other time I saw this issue it was at that same spot.

Wild speculation: it’s maybe because multiple routes start and finish there. Either you do a loop and the game thinks you did a longer one too fast. Or maybe the two overlaid finish lines cause the game to think you’ve started and finished the lap in the same moment. :man_shrugging:

I suspect all of these recent reports are the same bug. @DavidP there is something about this banner or segment that is causing problems.

Yes I believe so. For now it appears to be something related with Watopia Hilly Route reverse. Someone is already investigating, but can’t say much more at the moment.

Yesterday i got heptic feedback on Zwift Plays passing every banner in Paris - Lutece Express Route is that some new Future i can’t recall it was happening before?

have seen it before a few years ago where most of the field were coned from a race that had a custom finish at the top of the radio tower, i believe when they were on or approaching the radio tower themselves. custom finishes may be involved, though i wouldn’t know what else to look for. as you say, pretty isolated

Also could apply to those doing steady 5.5w+ for 39 minutes on Alpe du Zwift. Would be nice.

I did Hilly route forward and then reverse today. My reverse time was only 13:43 and I got flagged going through the arch to finish the lap. Bummer to get stripped of both KOMs and the forward loop jersey, too.

Power source: Garmin Rally pedals that read 2-3% higher than my KICKR V5, as expected for drivetrain losses

Just saw this ‘one in a million’ event happen to someone right after a Hill Climb race on Hilly KOM Rev. a minute ago. Maybe it’s tied to a specific route or banner?

Even the ride leader got coned.
