Make the new metal pacebots look less murdery

But it’s a film!
And this is a game.

There are no such things as killer robots.

Should we remove the dinosaurs in case they eat people?

Neatly ignoring the salient point that the good robot in that movie looks exactly like the “psycho killer” robots, so surely we ought to judge them based on their actions.

This plus making them translucent glowing holograms would go a long way. There was no confusion about if them being holograms meant they weren’t draftable. Also Coco should go back to how Coco has always been.

More importantly, how has the new RP form factor changed their in-game CdA? :grinning:

The reduction in CdA has been countered by the fact they now weigh significantly more than a hologram.

The old Pace Partners with real human hair freaked me out more. Why was the body translucent but not the hair?

Then they lost their hair and their feet and that was even more freaky.

I don’t know if I like the new Pace Partners. I feel they might be harder to see in a large pack. They probably could do with some more RGB lighting to help them stand out. You can never have too much RGB right?

Oh, and some more fairing around the spine so they look less like murderous kill-bots.

Have to say my first reaction was Terminator!

Way to miss the point completely. Are you not aware that some people can’t watch horror films because they find them so frightening? And that we have film ratings precisely to not scare younger people with them? Films arent’t “real”, Zwift isn’t “real”, it is still absolutely possible to have sinister and frightening elements in both.

If Zwift were to add people stabbing one another at the side of the road is that also fine, because its not “real”? Such a bizarre take.

I’m out.

Finding it difficult to have a serious topical debate over an animated character.

All the best.

A good thing about the new look is that it is just one more thing to remind you to ride well in front the pace partner (where you won’t see it) rather than further back where the draft is a total mess.

(What do you mean “there are no such things as killer robots”? Even a (former) subsidiary of Samsung has manufactured one: SGR-A1 - Wikipedia )

I have a very real fear of heights. The rooftop sections in Makuri are bad enough but the glass roads in New York make me very anxious and I can feel my heart rate rise as I ride them.

Same thing for me with the traffic in Makuri where you turn across a junction. I have anxiety about riding outdoors, having been hit by a car, and my heart rate spikes because it looks like the van is about to hit you. I think people who don’t have these anxieties can unfortunately be dismissive of what is a real issue for some people.

Thank you. With this thread, I’ve been reminded why I chose to get away from these forums two years ago.

I’ll now do my best to forget what I’ve read, and carry on blissfully for another two years.

To be honest Sophie I’m beginning to question my participation here myself.
That’s why i tapped out before i became too disillusioned.
