Level Up Effect [November 2025]

If level 100 requires 807,000XP, then based on 20,000XP per level after level 100 (I think that’s what it currently is), then I should be about half way through level 159. :exploding_head:

By my counting from reaching level 100 and then counting the loops, I am at level 136.

So somewhere along the way I’ve been short changed as well. Shall I get my pitch fork too?

If it pisses you off as much as it does me, sure.

Not everyone will enjoy this so like other features riders should have the choice to toggle on and off

Are you counting xp total or just xp based on miles/kilometers?

Two very different things.

I used a portal back when 250’s were being given out like candy and scored quite high on some rides.

xp required: Is that for people who started at level 1 when level 100 was introduced?

That has no bearing on those who were riding previous to that, even though it may appear to be relevant.

I’ve got 1.3m XP and still only at level 95 with no accelerated levelling so I totally get it. Still can’t believe how badly Zwift messed it all up.

I don’t know what you’re asking about. XP is XP, it doesn’t really matter how I got it.

For future calculations, i.e. from where I am now in terms of level and rider score, I’m just basing it on distance (140km/wk) and 500XP streak bonus.

That’s the readjusted XP requirements that were introduced in 2024.

I hear you.

I’m just shy of 583k XP, but only level 68, without the stupid banking system I’d be level 84.

And let’s just take a moment to point out that without the stupid banking system, there would be an awful lot more loyal Zwifters who would have been level 85 and been able to claim a pair of Zwift Play controllers for free plus the ~£7 postage.

The offer - controllers for free- doesnt exists anymore.

That’s why I used the word “would” regarding the Zwift Play controllers in my post.:+1:

That’s an excellent point. :ride_on:

I’m not sure when the offer went away, but I hit level 85 in mid September, and I never received the offer. I am in the US.
I think the new Click v2 went on sale right around the same time, so that’s probably when the Play controllers were discontinued.

Saw it today, nice I like it!

Does anyone know what the glowing chevron and number mean in this image?

It means that someone leveled up.

That second shot is nuts. It’s not supposed to do that, is it?

It did feel very exciting.

It looks like the effect was triggered by someone behind them in this case. So I guess that could mean the confetti appears very close to the viewpoint, depending on which camera is being used.

Wow.. just wow
