Laggy virtual shifts using Tacx Neo 2T and Click v2

I love cog click with my taxc neo T2 and latest Apple 4K TV, but lately - last 3 weeks - with racing the gear up and down has enormous latency, also after update (zwift click and Taxc all latest software) i cant keep closing gaps in racing due to latency! Please help!

thank you!

Do you force-close Zwift after every ride? You can get weird glitches if you don’t. I ask because I don’t recall anyone else posting that they were getting huge latency suddenly, so I suspect this is something at your end.

cant say i’ve noticed any issues with my 2T and play controllers

I have had the same issue. Apple TV, but not the 4k, Tacx Neo 2T. Connected via companion app on wireless. The issue is quite intermittent for me, doesn’t repeat regularly. Many rides without any issue. Occasional issue of not changing gears for a few seconds as described. I assumed it was my wifi. ?

I have now reset my Apple TV 4K, reinstalled Zwift, checked updates Tacx Neo 2T and found - which I did not know - an option in the Garmin Connect App on iPhone (Taxc Neo 2T button when on, Device Settings option Race Mode: Activate Set Race Mode which allows updates to be made 10 times per second it says, to have more realistic racing info (perhaps it than shows also visually who is in indeed in front or at the back (at times I win races while I am visually behind, and vice versa). I wil test that today!

Ok, good tip, I wil close Zwift in future no longer (after ending race correctly in Zwift software) the Apple TV power button on remote

I have this same issue plus I have very annoying ‘sticky watts’. Not only is the shifting delayed by several seconds but also power intermittently sticks at a value. It makes TTTs almost impossible as you are always either being dropped or shooting through the group. I have race mode set and I have reinstalled all apps.

I have run a comparison using a Mac Mini instead of Apple TV 4K and everything worked perfectly so I’m guessing that it’s a bluetooth overload issue; though it is odd that more people aren’t complaining about this as its very intrusive.

sticky watts on a neo 2T should be pretty much impossible

I have a similar problem. When riding, the image seems to shake, the gear on the screen disappears as if I’m riding without virtual shifting, and the resistance of the trainer becomes heavier, after a few seconds everything returns to normal. During this outage, I can’t shift. Furthermore, when this happens, the user-set buttons on Zwift ride no longer work.

I assumed he meant Watts stuck at some level, not what we think of as sticky Watts for a couple seconds when you stop pedaling.

That sounds like a connectivity problem with the trainer. If you use anything other than Apple TV, upload a log file to trainerdx.com to see if that’s happening.

I’m using Zwift on NT and Windows 10

According to TrainerDX, Ble outages. That could be it but I don’t know how to fix it.

You could try disabling or removing your Bluetooth adapter and switching to a widely used dongle like TP-Link UB500

I’ll try it and let you know. Thank you

that to me is sticky watts

So I did it according to the instructions but the outages continue. Same scenario, after the first outage the predefined buttons stop working and the next long minutes it shifts by two degrees, over time it was adjusted. I don’t understand.

I don’t even know where to look for the problem. Drivers or Neo. Connection, I don’t know what else to do. I’ve gone through the connection, updates and I guess I can’t do anything more.

are you able to put a cassette back on and see if does it ?

I love the Zwift Click and the Cog but to overcome troubles with latency I stopped using the Apple TV 4K, connecting it to a computer solves all latency problems I think. Connecting via bluetooth on iPhone is far from ideal. Perhaps Ant+ dongle could solve it on Apple TV 4K, but it stays a drag Apple TV has limited Bluetooth, perhaps gets better with 2026 Apple TV when it arrives. Apple we need more Bluetooth options!
