Is there a speed limit?

I have a Runn device and a manual treadmill to track my speed and recently switched over to doing a lot of speed workouts. I noticed that my avatar stops dead in his tracks when I get around 20mph (or 32kph). Is this expected? If so, is there a way to increase this limit?

The vast majority of humans can’t sprint that fast. That kind of sprint training is probably better done on a track than a treadmill, isn’t it?

You’re right; tracks around here are covered in snow half the year though so there’s limited options.

24.9mph

After that your avatar stops.

I suspect if you’re hitting that speed your Runn needs calibrating.
Usain Bolt tops out at 27.78mph.

24.9mph would be ideal considering I don’t see myself ever reaching that. The .fit file says I’ve only reached 19.8mph and I’ve witnessed my avatar stopping multiple times. I’m guessing they either lowered the speed limit or it’s a network connection on my end; but when I was running 10ks a lost connection usually (not always) resulted in a gradual slowdown.

I’ll run some tests tomorrow and see how fast I can get the belt going before my avatar smashes into the speed barrier.
