Ok no worries I’m just trying to work out any equivalent gears
Change to:
28/55
10-36
Thanks Ian
That’s exactly what I was looking for
Much appreciated
Patrick
Ian - does this depend on what physical gear you are in? Using the ~20t cog on the back gives me a straight chain line (off the inner ring) and runs quiet, but will I have a lower range of virtual gearing than if I were to use the 14t??
Shuji explains how it works over here…
thanks Paul, this is helpful. I understand that the trainer assigns a virtual gear 12 based on the physical gear the bike is in at the start of an activity. What I’m not sure about is should that virtual gear 12 be the same gear ratio regardless of the physical gear the bike is in? In my case, if I use the 20t cog, my gear 12 is a smaller gear/easier to pedal than if I use the 14t cog. I find myself in virtual gear 20ish when racing, and so in danger of spinning out on a fast section. If I use the 14t, its noisier, but I’d be racing in virtual gear 15ish with plenty headroom.
Currently using virtual shifting with a Zwift Click.
Is there a way to set the default gear? Mine always defaults to gear 13 which is fine most of the time, but for example in a erg workout, if you begin an interval which is non-erg/freeride mode (like a 20 sec sprint) it defaults to gear 13, so you spend about 5+ seconds shifting to a hard enough gear losing half the interval. Would be great if you could change the default gear, or at least allow to pre-select before the interval starts.
