Hi I’ve been using Zwift for a couple of weeks now and have been loving it so far.
I’m currently doing running 101 plan as an introduction, on the first run there was a prompt to set in line to 1 but since have not had any other prompts to change incline like I get to change speed.
I see in the overview map in the top right corner that it shows an incline, am I supposed to try and match that on a run? The problem with trying to do that is it goes to negate values when going down hill which are not possible to set on the treadmill.
Am I missing something? I know when cycling the speed and watts are variable
This my understanding:
Precor does have models with a negative incline feature. For example, the Precor TRM 885 treadmill includes both positive and negative inclines, with a range of -3% to +15%.
Same claimed specs for the upcoming Wahoo Kickr Run, and supposedly Zwift will support automated incline adjustment when that comes out (according to DC Rainmaker)
Hi my question was more about am I supposed to be changing the incline when running as there doesn’t seem to be direct prompts to change incline as there is with the running speed?
Also the incline digits on the map seem very small and not very easy to view when running hence.
Do some training plans have prompts to change incline while others don’t?
It’s a personal choice to use the incline feature on a treadmill with zwift.
During races, many people avoid using the incline because they have to adjust it manually, and the incline numbers are too small to read from a screen like a mobile phone.
