In game photos (using F10) NOT uploading since last update! [SOLVED]

My spidey-sense thinks that the message does contain the path. It’s just that the path is blank/empty/unset. Hence the space before the exclamation point. So it would be Unable to upload <filename-here>! File not found! if it had the filename stored. But somehow the filename got lost. Good to see the issue is at least acknowledged by Zwift. Now to hope for a fix…

I tried it yesterday after the updates were pushed and can confirm that it has not been fixed.

I saw the issue Yesterday on macOS. Took snapshot using F10, saw it shown when closing the ride / closing Zwift, but nowhere to be found on Zwift ride report, nor Strava.
My snapshot of my first time up the Alpe de Zwift, snif snif… gone!

Even though I’m not aware of a way to link it to your ride on CA manually, you can still retrieve your screenshot in the ‘My Pictures > Zwift’ folder on your computer (or the equivalent default location on OS). Just mentioning this in case you’d want to show it to friends or family.

I have the same issue on a MacBookPro running Big Sur. It does not upload the screenshots anymore to my Zwift feed and not to Strava.

I have the same problem no photos are uploaded from PC or Companion.

No photos uploaded here as well. This, however, should be taken as an improvement, rather than a bug: at least, no more F10/capture issues to worry about!

(took Zwift more than 2 years to get from somewhat not working to fully not working, but hey, what’s the rush?)

Same is true here. No uploading and all the screenshots are black in the “end of the ride” screenshot!
Pls fix this!

Well, I did another ride (or two…) and it all uploaded as expected (+no black images)

These days you can no longer count on the bugs to stay put… :frowning:

Could this be Strava laying the law down to Zwift due to sheer amount of data?
Bit like how you can no longer see segment times of people you follow on iOS for Zwift rides. You can see segment times of people you follow for other activities on iOS, just not for Zwift activities.

Here’s an old thread about this, My Zwift only uploading map, and not screenshot to Strava
but more importantly, this reddit thread says it’s related to screen shots taken with F10:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Zwift/comments/jvbams/zwift_not_uploading_screenshot_images_to_zwift/

I exclusively use F10, and indeed, screen shots are not uploading to Zwift’s feed (The at Home Cycling & Running Virtual Training App) nor are they uploading to Strava.

Good luck. This has been an issue since October 2020 and not a single response from Zwift. Not holding my breath this will ever be fixed.

Same issue for me since october.

I think we should all do the same…

I still haven’t had any pictures uploaded since November. Has anyone had any joy with this, is it my anti virus maybe?

The ‘workaround’ mentioned early in this thread works for me so I have simply switched to that approach… I do miss being able to use the F10 key though!

I use the companion app to take screenshots … have the companion app open, running, and connected to same wifi network and there is a screenshot button in the menu bar to take a screenshot (furthest option on the right). The screen will flash (the same as pressing F10).
Personally, these screenshots have been uploading to Strava no problem.

Hope that helps? I know some are still experiencing issues, but this workaround has been a ‘fix’ for me.

:crossed_fingers: that the next update fixes this issue and we can go back to using the F10 key

Forget about F10.

Only use screen capture from the CA.

I used the comp app’s screen-capture button yesterday - that didn’t work either. It captures the images, they’re on the computer… but not uploaded to Strava. “It’s busted”.

I have had a few instances where the screenshots are very slow to upload to Strava (i.e. from an evening activity, it can take overnight for them to appear)… If this is happening, I just manually upload the screenshot against the Strava activity from the picture saved in my phone camera roll.

:+1:

Uploading to Strava is a different issue.

It may take time (24hr? Don’t know…)

They may eventually get there, or not, neither Zwift nor Strava would comment/clarify.

Just wait a day - and if not there, manually upload to Strava.

I removed my Avast anti virus from my laptop before a ride, and voila some photos uploaded for the first time since early November!
