I am all new to this and I just downloaded the Zwift training app on my laptop computer. I’m little confused on how to use this correctly. When I am doing the workout it has all the data of speed, distance, and wattage. When I finish the workout and I hit saved. Will all the information get saved on my Garmin app on my cell phone? Do I also need to use my Garmin 1050 edge when I am using it to?
Hi @Stephen_Hoadley welcome to the forums!
If you have connected your zwift account with Garmin then it will send the ride data over, you don’t need to run the edge 1050 at the same time. If you also use strava and have connected zwift to strava then it will also send it over to strava.
Keep asking questions, the community is here to help!
This where you would go to enable transmitting ride data to Garmin Connect
If your using Garmin Connect and are collecting the badges on that….. Then a ride saved on zwift will not go towards the totals on Garmin Connect.
Garmin Connect Challenges only record data from a Garmin device.
Hence I run my 1030 at same time as zwift, save both devices then go through the steps below.
Delete the Garmin ride from Strava, as it normally records incorrect mileage as the circumference of wheel is well off.
Then on Garmin I correct the Garmin date from the Zwift ride data and then delete the Zwift ride afterwards to save confusion.
To summarise, save both, delete garmin from Strava, adjust garmin on connect then delete zwift ride from garmin.
There are posts on this subject with a full description of the above on it. ![]()
Thank you Paul, I really appreciate your feedback and for your help.
Thank you for your response back to me.
Many thanks
I used to have them all on when I started, then realised I could just use the Zwift app to do it for me. Now every ride is saved to the Garmin, Strava, Training Peaks & Adidas accounts & I don’t need to do anything. There is a list of linked accounts available on the Zwift online page I think.
Thank you so much for responding back to me.
