How can a Cat A rider maintain that status for 6 months when only doing very low power C/D pacer group rides once a month? Are they cheating somehow?
Perhaps you are not aware of all of their activities. They are not forced to share every activity, or even save every activity, for it to affect their pace group. You would also need to check their pace group on their profile in the Companion app, not on ZwiftPower.
Indeed. That’s my concern. This is based on all activities on Companion /Strava. I’m just trying to understand the formula for the continued ranking.
Lack of visibility into another rider’s activities and PRs is not a problem you can solve. If a rider has PRs from private or discarded activities that keep them in a higher category, personally I would not call that cheating. It doesn’t harm racing for anyone else.
A person cheating to go up a cat would be the first person ever cheating to go up a cat.
They probably just have activities set to private and on Strava only for followers.
That’s what I do. I still have A I’m companion app but racing score it below 600 because I don’t do any races. I get the A from lots of tough ADZ laps most likely.
