As of 1.79 at least, and not 100% positive if this is specific to Watopia right now or not, but see images attached of the ride settings, and what ZH was showing the settings were.
Note that steering is disabled, but ZH (and the ride itself), steering was very much enabled.
Follow up, as I know this is a back-end thing and irrelevant to the public version releases.
Disabling steering from the companion app for club/group rides is still allowing steering, and ZwiftHacks still shows that it is indeed enabled; despite showing as disabled in the event publication menu.
Steering on a D ride is a pain for thew sweeps, especially if you get that one guy who wants to do intervals on their own but then takes out a few D riders as they lose a wheel.
Doesn’t “lower themselves” to help the sweeps on rescues.
Interesting sidenote, these “steering guys” tend not to be as strong as the sweeps, as sweeping gives the best intervals !
