Graphics bug in Neokyo

Yesterday while racing Turf N Turf as part of the Pinarello Power event I experienced a graphics bug early on in the route while going through a section of Neokyo. It happened twice and lasted for maybe a minute in total before returning to normal for the rest of the ride. One other in the 60-person B field reported experiencing the same thing.

Running Windows 10 on a gaming PC with Ryzen 7 3700X processor and NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super graphics card.

I’ve seen a few reports of similar issues over on Facebook. Usually when I see stuff like this I think someone is probably using integrated graphics, but some of them have been on gaming laptops where they could be using either integrated or Nvidia GPU, and when I ask they don’t tell me which one was in use. That should not be possible in your case. I have not seen this problem on my Windows 10 machine with a GTX 970 and I have ridden in Neokyo recently.

Usually our no-longer-resident expert Dave Higgins (who you can find on the ZPCMR group on Facebook) says that the Nvidia drivers coming from Microsoft are adequate. Personally I have the drivers installed from the Nvidia website so I don’t know if that might change things. You could try that and see if you get a different result, or join ZPCMR and ask there.

Thanks, I guess I’ll check the drivers.

It happened again today in Watopia, only in the underwater tunnels. Reproducible issue going into the tunnels both times, immediately stopped upon exiting.

Graphics have been solid on this machine going on a year and a half, with these issues only cropping up in the last few days since v. 1.74 was released, so I figured it may have been related to that.

Hi @Colin_Brown_DIRT Thanks for the report! I’m Norman from Zwift. Checking on the drivers it’s certainly a good idea, I particularly recommend that you get the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website directly. Let us know if it improves the experience.

Ride On.
