Garmin Running Dynamics Pod

Ya’ll list the Garmin Foot Pod as a supported device. Garmin has replaced the foot pod with a Running Dynamics Pod. It is currently not supported by Zwift, but it should be. In addition, the HRM-TRI heart Rate monitor also has the same data as the Running Dynamics Pod. It also uses the same ANT+ data bus. It should also be supported by Zwift. Thanks for your help.

The Running Dynamics Pod (RD Pod) doesn’t give speed or pace information. Only advanced running dynamics such as power, cadence, ground contact time, etc.

The HRM-Tri is supported as a heart rate monitor.

Hi, by when the garmin dynamics pod will be supported? Or do you have any workaround to pair the garmin dynamics pod?
Thank
Filippo

The Garmin Dynamics foot pod does not broadcast speed, so this is a Garmin issue not a Zwift issue.

Isn’t speed just a basic calculation from stride length and cadence? There must be a way Zwift can incorporate this…

Probably not, considering they have their own pod - why support competition then?

I agree, I’m really disappointed that my expensive hrm Tri is only a glorified great rate monitor in zwift. Zwift doesn’t even see cadence from it. Please address this zwift.

Did someone try to connect the running dynamic pod to zwift with Fenix 5, because I’m having a problem connecting to zwift looks like it’s not supported :slightly_frowning_face:

It’s not a running pod per se, it’s just to have other running data. You can’t use it for running like you would using a dedicated running pod like a Stryd…
