Gravel and gravel bikes are really a bit pointless on an indoor platform, it’s about handling skills in the real world but indoors it’s just a higher CDA and slower speed
Ultra Graphics profile on Windows 11 with nVidia GeForce 1650Ti. Watopia experienced rolling blackouts today after I put a ton of effort into a Big Spin (lol), End Event during the cooldown, scene changed to night and flashed entirely dark in spots, then massively dark before stablizing. I have not seen anything quite like this before:
Some of us have been looking forward to more gravel routes on Zwift for years; and hope to see this actually expand; and further see singletrack for MTBs like… an alternative descent for The Grade.
All Zwift needs to do is incentivize it. Equalize riding on gravel bikes / on gravel, drops wise (ala how climbing works), and I wouldn’t be surprised if Jungle filled out a bit more.
Part of the reason why gravel “sucks” on Zwift is due to the complete lack of gravel volume… what does Zwift have, maybe 18km of gravel in entirety?.. And literally 0% of it is flat.
Build it, give people a reason to ride it, and they will come.
ZHQ doesn’t have to work hard for Gravel to grow massively. Give us a route that intertwines with Tempus and a drops increase, and I promise you people will be riding on it plenty.
I’ve been getting the same thing for the last few weeks, since the mystery spinners were turned on. Only between Acropolis Sprint and Stoneway Sprint, clears up before getting to Stoneway.
