I run windows. Is there a cadence to when these updates occur on PC, generally speaking? I find PC updates usually end up going live Friday/saturdays. And for increased speed on zwift dirt is that live regardless whether you update computer or not?
Along with the much changed ZA this year, and no ZA Run or Tri, and no updates on Clubs in what seems like forever, it does look like Zwift is stripping out several features in order to simplify things (i.e. make it cheaper to support). Of course, we’ve also seen some new features introduced so maybe that’s just an inevitable consequence.
Tu estas muy aburrido andres, hay que saliir mas a la calle a tomar el sol y un refresco, zwift esta haciendo muchas cosa bien, no se si pensar que trabajas para bkool rouvy u otra plataforma, busca amigos realies y diviertete
If they’re doing so well; then why did they just lop off an entire portion of what they worked on the past two years?
Repack Ridge, MTBs, Gravel bikes, gravel wheels, dirt, and gravel now serve zero purpose in Zwift.
They had so many options that would’ve made more sense; like as Yousuf mentioned; putting sand in highest traffic part (Road to Sky / portion to ADZ), and kept dirt elsewhere, or changed Jungle to gravel (or even sand) to make it faster.
Instead… they chucked all of that work off the desk.
And for what?
Now if we ever get actual dirt paths (ala the original Repack Ridge), why use an MTB anymore?
Maroon boxes still flashing at the bottom of the screen, and bleeding into the top of screen.
my phone has the update , but not my PC lol, if i have dirt race it the Phone for me lol
Any races these days that go over gravel are no effectively decided by whether you have received the latest update or not. How is this not a feature toggle? Better yet, how is stuff like surface rolling resistance numbers not simply a configuration that is pulled from Zwift each time you start?
Everyone please note that phased rollout of game version 1.52.0 is complete. Please update at the earliest opportunity.
Is there a fix for the Wattbike Atom ERG \ Free ride issue in this update?
According to support staff there is but nothing in the release notes?
I’m truly sorry to read that you’re experiencing issues switching to a free ride from ERG during the Zwift Academy rides on both devices. I know how important it is to address this situation to continue riding smoothly as you deserve to enjoy the rides at their maximum glory and I’ll be more than happy to assist you with it.
Much appreciated for the information and the screenshot you shared with us. After taking a look at your account, it looks like it is reflecting an outdated version. I’d like to ask if you can double-check if you’re running the last one 1.52.0 (1.0.122317), you can take a look at the steps here. If by any chance you’re running the latest please take a screenshot and share it with me to investigate.
Any chance a fix can be made for not being able to scroll along the power curve at the end of the ride - to check numbers at certain intervals - on appleTV? This disappeared some time ago
Now that Zwift & Wahoo are friends again, is there any news of gear display for Wahoo bikes - Ive just got the Kickr Shift ?
In ftp builder - beginner (training) there are an issue causing you fail and not get a star if you push to much watt in the sprint sections. Pretty annoying when it ask you to leave all you Got in the sprint and then it causing me to fail the mission.
That has been an issue for some time, see the following post:
Failing Full Gas training segments for using too much power - Bugs and Support - Zwift Forums
Basically they should have made the full gas sections “free ride” sections so you could go full gas (whatever full gas is for the rider) and still get full stars.
I appreciate using Zwift however, there are a couple of things. One big thing that seems wrong , the other a reaction to a turn of phrase. No offense meant.
- To change rolling resistances of surfaces seems to make no sense to me. If you make rough surfaces easier to pass, then there is less point in using a gravel bike. Certain KOMs such as the Temple climb will become shorter. The challenge of a grueling climb diminished.
A minor bugbear at the end:
“ Zwifters can now filter events based on whether steering is required or not”
When the steering was rolled out, the forum reassured users that steering and non steering races would be separate. … However, they are not. To suggest in terms that steering is now “required” in some cases is quite a change in phrasing from what was said originally.
Thanks for the answer. That was very informative. Im pretty new to this society
That beginner FTP Builder was the first workout program I did after starting Zwift a few years back. It was so frustrating to me to see the “SLOW DOWN” or “LESS POWER” message flashing red while the in-workout text was saying “GO FULL GAS!”, it just felt so wrong.
They haven’t updated this workout to make that section a free ride section (which would fix the issue), but I kinda wish they would because it’s an odd experience for a new Zwifter, and I expect that’s a plan that a lot of people on Zwift start with.
Cuts down the smell?
All this time, I never noticed. Yikes… And actually the real Thames doesn’t small as bad as people told me it did. And London is an amazing city for sure. Want to go back at some point. Ride on!!
I’m no longer able to start a ride after the update. I get to the blue Z loading screen and then I get dumped back out to the desktop with Zwift going poof.
Windows on a PC.
After I updated the app I went to ride and there was little to no resistance with the trainer difficulty turned all the way up. Checked on the firmware for the trainer and everything is up to date. I am using the IOS version of the app.
when will you fix the legacy plans?
