When I switch from a basic trainer to a smart one (soon, I hope), is it possible, or necessary, to start again with power and categorisation (e.g of data held by zwiftpower)? The dumb trainer always estimated watts so, with the near guaranteed accuracy of the new turbo, should I try to erase the past or just let new results dilute the past towards more accuracy (I’ve no idea how accurate the dumb trainer is, but FTP seems reasonable).
It shouldn’t take you too long / too many free ride efforts to figure out if you are still putting out the same power and w/kg as before (presumably you know how much power and w/kg you can and regularly do on the “dumb” trainer). With that information, you should be able to gauge whether or not any changes need to be made.
Post on ZwiftPower forum when you have a new trainer and I will reset your data.
Thank you both. I’ll do that.
If you’re on a PC, you can also delete your user folder in Documents->Zwift->cp which will reset your best power numbers held on that device.
Thanks Dave. Will it reset the list of rides done and the Zwift level too?
It will only delete/reset your 1 minute, 5 minute and 20 minute best on Zwift. It will not remove your rides or reset your level.
Perfect
Anyway to do that on an iPad?
You need to delete the app and re-download and install it: Resetting Your Personal Bests
