First time set up and not working properly

I’m using a dumb trainer with the wahoo speed and cadence sensor. It’s my first time using all three. I set up everything and logged in to zwift. I see my avatar but it’s barely moving - speed does not seem to be registering although everything paired properly. Anyone have any advice?

For virtual power like yours:

Zwift takes the wheel speed broadcast by your speed sensor and the power curve of the trainer you select on the Pairing Screen and converts that to virtual watts. With those watts, the weight entered, height entered, in-game bike used, in-game drafting (Tri and TT bikes get no drafting boost), in-game wheel set, in-game road surface, and in-game virtual elevation changes your in-game speed is determined.

What watts are you seeing when in Zwift?

Did you select the correct wheel size and trainer?

Thanks for responding! My wheel size is 26 x 1.75 but I only saw 26 x 1.5 so using that. I selected “other” for trainers as mine is just a dumb trainer. I just decided to take a break but will check watts shortly. Thanks!

What is the make and model of your “dumb” trainer?

It’s a bikemate. I’ll have to find the mode number

If its not on this list, you shouldn’t use it as it will never be “accurate”.

Then why do they have an “other” to select. I don’t need it to be perfect, but right now it’s not even working. Everything I read said it still should be compatible.

Yes “other” should atleast get your bike moving. Make sure you have the speed sensor on the wheel magnet and the cadence sensor on the crank magnet. It is easy to put them on the wrong way.

In the paring screen you should see speed as you pedal.
