Filter out group rides

Possibly a controversial request, but I’d love the option to hide organised group riders.

Now that there are regularly 4k+ riders on a course, and especially during the Tour de Zwift events, it’s really annoying to be swamped amongst massive groups of riders as well as the non-stop group ‘ride-ons’

In the meantime, there are a couple of potential workarounds.

First, you can use the “world hack” to choose a course that’s not being used in the schedule or a big event. (Not available if you’re on AppleTV for example)

Alternatively, once you’ve connected to Zwift and started riding, you can pull out your network cable. You’ll be riding alone, but everything should carry on as normal otherwise. As long as you reconnect it before the end of the ride it’ll still upload.

I’m well aware of the world switch hack, but I don’t want to ride a near-empty course either.

Sure thing. You didn’t mention it in the opening post so I was just wanting to be sure.

Another option would be to find out which route(s) the big events are doing, and either select a different route or ride in the opposite direction.

As a runner, I would be interested in filtering out the riders. The speed difference is simply too high for the list of fast-moving riders to be useful. Don’t get me wrong-- I wish I could run at 30 kph. But we slow-pokes are getting lost in a fog of fast-movers. Cheers!
