Hello Everyone,
Has anybody realized when ERG mode is turned off during a workout, the resistance adjustment no longer follows the course gradient? It can be EASIER or HARDER but thats all.
It the past it was worked well. For example, I had an hour training on Z2. But a hill is coming and I want to push it hard. I had turned the ERG off pushed the hill and turned on again.
Why this update is good for? ERG turn off and resistance not follows the course gradient? I would like to ask that this function would optional at least. User can decide what will happen if ERG turned off.
Yes when you disable ERG mode in a workout, the trainer operates in incline mode, not like simulation mode when you are doing a free ride.
I thought it was always like that … although there was a setting you could manually set if you had access to the config file … something like FlatRoadFeel?
It has always been like this. You may not have noticed it if you were only turning off erg mode when going up a hill, as incline mode is, as the name implies, just going up a steady incline. But you would have noticed for sure if you tried to push it on the downhll.
No, it did not need modify anything manually.
I still do not believe that this function was eliminated.
That’s what I thought, too. Obviously, if you hit a rising gradient and drop out of Erg you can push as many watts as you like. If the gradient is fairly consistent this would definitely feel like Sim mode if you then stuck it back in Erg before the road tipped downhill …
