As per pretty well all the other replies this missing (or disabled) feature is one I dearly miss in group rides. Since my Zwift computing hardware is an iPhone/iPad combination (and I need reading glasses), I find it almost impossible to give Ride Ons during these rides - if I’m working hard I simply can’t spare the time to fiddle about with finding the rider of my choice, giving a ride on and then returning back to me. On the few occasions I’ve tried it, the bunch has passed by and I’ve been left hanging off the back!
I would love to give a group Ride-On, since efforts towards individuals usually mean I fall off the back of the peleton while I’m clicking away :-0
I 100% agree that we need this. Even if it was 5 or 10 at a time like when free riding.
More than three years later, I still feel this way. 
Amen. Always annoying in group events when you have a nice blob and can’t give everyone a Ride On with a tap on Companion.
I am sure I’m in the minority here but I have deleted the file that shows the thumbs over riders and never have the volume up. You lot annoy me in big rides … j/k, I just get easily distracted (then dropped).

Would be great to have this functionality ou any group event. I understand for races it could be distracting, so the event organiser could have a checkbox to disable it.

Please not in races and I ride with game volume off.
Make this part of the new HUD that allows user to turn off thumbs up.
I’m happy to report that I’ve done a couple of group rides in the last few weeks and the ability to give multiple ride-ons (as when you’re free riding) seems to be back!
I agree with the comments about racing though.

It still does not work in meetups. 
That’s OK. This FR is for “group rides, events, and races”
