Yep since the update my drops counter has frozen. At least Zwift is consistent with update mess ups.
That all is pretty strange. I experimented a bit today during a group ride. Once I put out high power -about 1.5 times FTP- the counter started und ran for maybe 10 sec. Everytime I received a ride on, it started as well for about 10 to 15 sec. When I pressed the Menu-Button and came back to game, it also started for a short time. ![]()
Drop counter frozen since last update - Apple TV. PLEASE fix!!!
I also noticed this strange behaviour of starting and stopping.
I rode with Coco group in Makuri today and randomly noticed the drops counter building up separately from when ride-ons are given.
It wasn’t related to power/FTP however.
500 million dollars in funding and no QA. Quality!
im using ATV and not getting drips.
occasionally the counter increments, but cant tie down when, its not when i get or give ride ons
Might be helpful if people who are having issues post how many drops they currently have and if they’re getting some, all or no drops while riding.
I have 58,000,000 and they haven’t budged at all since the update.
Windows 10
2,468,096 drops. Only getting them when I receive a RideOn however I’ve only done workouts since the update.
PC, Win 10.
That’s interesting, they had said it was a rounding error for people with high amounts of drops. 2,000,000 does seem that high so I wonder if something else is happening too
I would have thought a lot of people have a lot more drops than me.
Albeit enough data should be available yet for RCA here my findings:
- drops increased almost always after Ride On
- amount of drops varied for single Ride On
- no xp
- watt level indicated to be vital
i can confirm that
Drops bugs yes, but XP?
I got XP without issues.
Win 10, Tacx Neo, Bluetooth, two rides 1st one after update, 2nd after the patch).
Drops … It’s “funny” - sometimes I got drops riding alone, but very slowly (1 drop in 10 secs?), I got drops going uphills and when I get a ride on (no idea if it is the same amount as it used to be). Drops multiplication seems to be ok (rode 40 km with Miguel yesterday).
Nope, neither per km/mi nor for Waistband badge.
Robopacer did not start counting either.
I have about 9 million Drops and now only get Drops when I get Ride-Ons; no Drops for riding, and in particular no Drops on a mountain climb today.
you get drops after getting “+1 like”. for a little while then the counter freeze again.
some people suggest to reinstall the app or whatever your using, some people say, its working after reinstallation once, but wont work after second launch of the app or else.
i know about issues with the drop system when you launch n+1 launchers, or are using multiples accounts or requests for some reason. the system then freeze the counter on your end, maybe an anti-cheat mechanism.
whatever, i assume it has something todo with a second, hidden, request, initiated by a script problem by the latest update. since technically the drop counter problem isnt new but the way it affects many users today is new.
44 million and not a drop to be seen, ride ons or not.
Joe, I had issues (including the drop counter) running Zwift on ATV4k (2022).
Solution for me: Uninstall Zwift entirely. Restart the AppleTV, reinstall Zwift and log back in.
After that, BLE connectivity, drops etc all worked again. (and no odd sensor errors)
For context: I’m using a Tacx NEO2T, Polar H10 HRM, and all devices also broadcast via ANT+ to a bike computer and watch, and I also reinstalled the Companion app on my Android phone.
FYI: I have 4,872,536 drops.
Did another Z1 workout up AdZ this morning. I’m now getting drops even without a RideOn. Total drops went up from 2,468,096 to 2,492,999. Does this sound about right? Got about 57 ROs.
Also noticed people getting PRs with ridiculously small time e.g. 2 seconds around turn 11. Seems to be an issue there. On the way down today I also got power up twice, apart from at the normal arches at the top.
On MacOS I did ADZ about 4 hours ago in real ride mode (not workout) and noticed that the drops seemed to occur randomly when I was doing very high power (aside from getting ride-ons).
