Drag bar or drafting bar

What if the “Close the gap” message could be replaced with a “drag bar” that could indicate the current drag. In steep hills, this bar would not show much impact of drafting, while at high speeds you would see a big impact.

Alternatively, you could have a “drafting bar” that would indicate how much effect the current drafting has on the drag.

It does not have to be a bar. It could be just an area that is changing color, a drag force vector changing length, a gauge or similar.

I guess this is not a new idea, but I just wanted to get it in here on the new forum.

6 years have gone by and nothing from zwift. actually, they support the idea of people paying some third party to have that information. of course, it only works in certain types of equipment which is like people having the zwift trainer having higher watts being reported.

Rouvy has now a really good draft indicator :

You can see how good is your drafting (and you will see that too close is not as good as we can think with the zwift “close the gap”, because zwift doesn’t tell you when you’re too close), and the power you’re saving

It could be awesome if we can have something similar in zwift (to replace the unusefull “Close the gap”)
