Not sure if anyone else has seen this but I thought I’d post here for info but since being upgraded to 1.77 and Nvidia drivers 566.03 I kept getting annoying crashes in Zwift (and another cycling platform MW, which I only use for testing things like this honest!).
After rolling back to 565.90 I haven’t had another one yet, although had only done limited testing so far TBH.
I’ve seen notes about 566.03 causing CPU issues so obviously something up, but just wanted to share for anyone else out there seeing this or having a similar set-up.
Yeah will give it a few rides just to see but feels like that was the cause. I did reinstall Zwift before doing this but still had the crash and that usually fixes most ills.
For those interested I’ve got a GTX1080 and i3-12000f.
Hi everyone! This is Alejandro from Zwift. Regarding this situation with the NVIDIA GPU processor and Zwift, we have identified an issue causing these crashes, and we are currently working on a solution for a future update.
If there is anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to write us at support@zwift.com.
Hi Alejandro. I find that if I start Uber Loop I crash in a similar place every time, going up the first mountain. See the attached file, there are two GPS jumps where I have stitched the file together after crashing. Hope this helps.
I was having problems with a GTX 1050 and the latest nVidia drivers, not only in Zwift (Windows freezes, graphics glitches, etc). Uninstalled the drivers, let Windows update install the “default” drivers (32.0.15.6094 from August 14 2024) and now everything is smooth.
Sounds similar to my situation thanks @oldnapalm I’ve rolled back to that version, via Windows, as well and been stable since.
I am just chasing to see what’s happening generally as it’s not great to be in this situation. Also with the latest Nvidia 50+ cards having driver issues I feel more and more like just leaving it alone now.
