Clubs Rollout Strategy

Is this part of the web based zwift dashboard new?

Haven’t noticed this before, if so, is maybe clubs is coming soon?

used to be 500 people i think unless anything has changed

Great. We have 1100 in Cryo-Gen, any idea when it will be increased?

i’m guessing not any time soon. Clubs rollout seems to have ground to a halt for the last year. From what I’ve seen it is only being rolled out to larger clubs as all it’s really useful for is event organisers.

Clubs could be a great feature solving many problems while reducing what must be hundreds of emails every week that need manually actioned but there seems to be no urgency to develop it’s features or give access to smaller clubs. That’s zwift development in general though things move very slow…3 years to get a exit ride button, no desire to stop sandbagging, 14 month old bugs, broken meetup invites, the list goes on which is rather frustrating when Zwift has so much potential.

@Mark_Cote is there any update on how the rollout to smaller clubs is going, I know it was a couple months ago you were suggesting those with 5 rides or more were the priority. What is next? timescales?

Today I witnessed a new tactic with a club randomly inviting my members to join their club to try recruit riders which is a bit annoying. While i doubt any of my members would accept another club this way it’s annoying to see that others with clubs access are using it for recruiting riders when we don’t have access.

We’ve been expanding the current tool to those we feel it benefits, as you correctly note - those with many events on the calendar.

There’s a deep body of work going on social tools for Zwifters. Still in dev and nothing to share right now, but we believe this will solve for most others looking for support in creating and hosting events, among other things.

That’s good to hear. just puzzled me when i saw what looked like a team with a single event getting clubs within the last month so wondered if it had progressed further. thanks

I now see clubs in the feed.

must just be a place holder for future content they are developing . Mine is the same despite being in a couple clubs.

Frankly, my feed has been there for months in personal profile.

As club head, this feature has been helpful editing event features. What I like to have in future is greater self-help for event titles and description of listed events. This will help us clubs tweak our details to match changing circumstances better.

@Mark_Cote how is this progressing?

I can’t help but feel clubs rollout to all those that have events would be an easy win and avoid all this form filling with zwift support having to change events manually. Today we are having to submit another form as something was missed while updating an event. This has happened quite a few times.

To also follow on from the above,

As we move towards the winter season in northern hemisphere is the offer of private events set up still available for all @Mark_Cote? Do we just need to email support@zwift.com to get this put in place?

support@zwift.com no longer accepts direct emails it all has to be done through the support web form but you are probably looking to events@zwift.com for new event queries

Is there any progress with this at all? Is it likely to see the light of day before summer ‘22?

Zwift support advise no new private events, so there is still a 2 tier feature set for end users.

Seems to go against what was advised previously in this thread…

@Mark_Cote ,That is the only thing i am wanting from clubs to be able to edit and update my weekly event, it would save mine and Zwift employees time if i had this function , i know it is available as i am in 2 different clubs and know of a third smaller group who has just received it, Surely this would be beneficial to both parties if it was made available.
