Changes to Strava

Hey Zwifters,

A quick heads up that Strava will be making a subtle change to how your Zwift activities will appear in the Strava feed. From today you will notice a “Sponsored” tag in the top right of your screen shots.

So why the change? We’ve been working this way with Strava for a while, so we wanted to be clear with you about this partnership. Zwift pays a fee to Strava which enables Zwifters to upload photos from your activities, making your feed more interesting, personal and relevant for you and your followers. It also provides the opportunity for your followers, who aren’t Zwifters, the chance to click and learn more about Zwift.

We’ll continue to work with Strava to enhance your Zwift activities in your Strava feed and look forward to showing you more in the very near future.

I’m about to jump into a day of busy meetings, but myself and my team will be on hand to answer your messages below. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Ride On!

Seems fair enough. I’d like you to build a lot of the “Strava stuff” into Zwift though. In particular the Strava Summit things like power curves etc. I’ve already cancelled Summit because the grandfathered Zwift deal is coming to an end, and one of them had to give. =)

(I know Zwift shows that stuff at the end of a ride, but there’s no way to go back and review them later, nor to see an aggregation of efforts this year/last year etc.)

We certainly have the data and we intend to make it available on both mobile and web.
